Hurricane Harvey

The end of hurricane season draws near and State Climatologist Barry Keim says Louisiana has seen some notable hurricanes in the month of October.

Keim says we have seen 14 named storms so far with a predicted total of 16 to happen this season; results from the Colorado State Forecast team.

Keim says hurricane season technically ends on November 30th, however, we are to remain on our toes. He also states that we tend to see less storms in October than December because water temperatures cool and most storms track towards the eastern seaboard.
