Ferriday's Police Chief suspended for the third time

Ferriday’s Police chief is in hot water again after Mayor Sherrie Jacobs suspended the chief again.

This is the 3rd time in three months that Chief Arthur Lewis has been suspended. The mayor says the chief was suspended for not following orders.

This suspension happened just 1 day after Lewis returned from his 30 day February suspension. Lewis said he has broken no laws and at an Aldermen meeting the council voted unanimously against firing the chief.

A consultant has been brought in to run the department.
