A report released by High-Speed-Internet.com finds Louisiana is the third most dangerous state for online dating. Researcher for the website, Kaz weida, said the Bayou State received a high ranking because of its high rate of adults with STDs.
Weida said another factor that makes the Bayou State so dangerous for online dating is the extremely high rate of crime.
“There is a high correlation between rapes and prostitution, STD rates, and in fact crime rates because it is also considered crime,” said Weida.
Weida said they are also concerned about Louisiana’s weak policies when it comes to sex education in public schools and "that it is something that definitely could be improved upon, and that would really help with the STD rates specifically."
