NE TEXAS LEADS STATE IN TOP 5 CAUSES OF DEATH:    For each of the five leading causes of death in the U.S. - heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic lower respiratory diseases, and unintentional injury -Northeast Texas experiences higher rates of mortality. These conclusions are part of the Health Status of Northeast Texas 2016 study compiled by UT Health Northeast in Tyler, Texas.  The study can be read at http://uthealth.org/2016healthreport

NE TEXAS LEADS STATE IN CAUSES OF DEATH: A recent health study of 35 counties in northeast Texas reveals the area leads the state in mortality rates due to tobacco use among other preventable habits.

Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' experience to Red River Radio having started out as a radio news reporter and moving into television journalism as a newsmagazine producer / host, talk-show moderator, programming director and managing producer and news director / anchor for commercial, public broadcasting and educational television.
