Animal Life: Cat Vs. Couch

If there’s one thing in the world that can make you love your cat a little less, it’s a ruined couch. Some cats seem determined to pee everywhere in the house

except their litter boxes. If this sounds familiar, here are a few tips.First and foremost, make sure your cat is spayed or neutered. Cat mating rituals involve spraying and marking — definitely not something you want in your house.

If that’s not the problem, try the litter box. Use a different type of litter and move it to a different part of the house. There could be something about the actual box that’s upsetting your cat.

Another cause could be plain old boredom. If your cat isn’t getting enough attention or playtime he might be taking out his frustrations on your furniture.

If all else fails, take your cat to the veterinarian and have him examined for physical problems.
