MONROE, La. – University of Louisiana Monroe President Dr. Carrie L. Castille awarded degrees to 954 graduates at the Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies on May 9, 2026. Two ceremonies were held for the four colleges: Arts, Education, and Sciences, Business and Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Pharmacy, plus the Graduate School.
A total of 954 students earned degrees. Six students earned multiple degrees, 77 doctoral degrees were awarded, and 55 Pharm.D. degrees were awarded. 16 students were Honors Program graduates.
Degrees awarded by college include 145 in Arts, Education, and Sciences, 236 in Business and Social Sciences, 192 in Health Sciences, 64 in Pharmacy, and 323 in the Graduate School.
There were 263 Distinguished Graduates: 53 Summa Cum Laude, 64 Magna Cum Laude, and 146 Cum Laude.
The top fall graduates with a 4.0 cumulative GPA were Abhishek Amgain, Michael Lee Anderson, Aden Sue Antley, Ritika Bajgain, Landon J. Clampit, Anna Catherine Cowsar, Ciera Janae Demby, Crystal D. Dowd, Garrett Kyle Haas, Abby C. Hillman, Emily Elizabeth Horton, Paige E. Ingersoll, Nirjara K C, Pushkar Kandel, Adedayo Emmanuel Lawal, and Morgan McMickens.
The degrees for Spring 2026 graduates were officially conferred on May 13, 2026.
Spring 2026 Graduates
Students receiving Baccalaureate degrees were awarded Latin honors in accordance with the following guidelines:
(*) Cum Laude: a cumulative grade point average (GPA) is within the range of 3.500 through 3.749.
(†) Magna Cum Laude: a cumulative GPA is within the range of 3.750 through 3.899.
(‡) Summa Cum Laude: a cumulative GPA is within the range of 3.900 through 4.000.
(^) Honors — associate degree candidates with a cumulative GPA is within the range of 3.500 through 3.799
