Louisiana experiences more earthquakes just days after the second strongest in its history

In Northwest Louisiana, an increase in earthquakes were reported. The strongest was felt in Caddo Parish. It happened this morning around 4:40. According to reports, it was a 4.0 magnitude.

Just after 9:00 p.m. Sunday, the US Geological Survey reported a 2.5 magnitude quake near Coushatta at 4:41 a.m. on Monday. The earthquake occurred at a depth of about around 3 miles.

It seems to be an aftershock following last week’s magnitude 4.9 earthquake in the same area, the second strongest recorded in Louisiana’s history.
