The University of Louisiana Monroe Football program picked up five all-conference selections, as announced by the Sun Belt Conference on Thursday, Dec. 4. Noah Flemmings was named to the All-Sun Belt Third Team Defense, while Elijah Fisher, Zach Palmer-Smith, Kevontay Wells, and Jaden Hamlin all earned All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention honors.
Flemmings enjoyed a breakout season leading the ULM linebacker room. With two fumble recoveries, he ranked 12th in FBS and second in the Sun Belt in that category and posted 80 total tackles. All 3.5 sacks came in conference play, placing him among the league’s leaders. He posted 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, and half a sack against Texas State and scored his first touchdown of the season on a 42-yard fumble return against South Alabama.
Elijah Fisher earned his third career All-Sun Belt honor with a strong season at center. Recognized on the Rimington Trophy Watch List and as the only Sun Belt center on that list, Fisher allowed just three pressures on 242 pass-blocking snaps and earned an 87.4 pass blocking grade. He also appeared on the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Trophy watch lists.
Zach Palmer-Smith emerged as one of ULM’s top offensive contributors, tallying four rushing touchdowns and averaging 6.4 yards per carry in conference games. He ranked sixth in the Sun Belt with 76.88 rushing yards per game and recorded two 100-yard rushing performances this season.
Kevontay Wells earned All-SBC Honorable Mention for his second All-Sun Belt accolade, helping a defense that ranked fifth in the conference. He posted 4.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries, contributing 2.5 sacks in league play.
Jaden Hamlin earned All-SBC Honorable Mention for the first time, leading the defensive line with a season-high five tackles against South Alabama, a half-sack against Troy, and a fumble recovery against Old Dominion.
