Living Well Foundation to Highlight Community Impact at Annual Luncheon

The Living Well Foundation, a non-profit public charity established in 2006 following the sale of a local public hospital, is making nearly two decades of reinvestment in Northeast Louisiana with its upcoming annual community luncheon.

The 2025 Annual Update to the community will be held on October 23, 2025, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the West Monroe Convention Center, located at 901 Ridge Ave. Reservations must be made at 318-932-9566 and tickets are priced at $35.

Led by President and CEO Alice Prophet, the luncheon will highlight completed 2024 grant initiatives currently in progress and introduce priorities for the 2025 funding cycle. Business leaders, elected officials, and nonprofit partners will gather to discuss ongoing collaboration to improve health outcomes across Ouachita Parish and several surrounding parishes.

Since its founding, the Living Well Foundation has invested more than $10 million back into the region with a mission to enhance quality of life, strengthen physical and behavioral health, and build lasting partnerships among community agencies.

The foundation funds and collaborates on a variety of impactful programs that serve children, families, and underserved populations, including:
- Dental hygiene clinics in partnership with the University of Louisiana Monroe Department of Dental Hygiene.

-Suicide prevention and intervention programs inn local schools, including efforts with The Children's Coalition.

-Alzheimer's and dementia care initiatives, improving follow-up services for patients and caregivers.

-Behavioral health support services delivered by area non-profits and licensed clinical professionals on school campuses and within communities.

The foundation evaluates evolving needs in the region to set grant priorities. Non-profits interested in applying for funding or participating in future projects may contact the foundation directly.
