West Monroe, LA — The Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival will bring the Highland Games back to Ouachita Parish on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Lazarre Park in West Monroe.

Festival admission is just $5 per person, with free entry for children under ten. Athletes who wish to participate in the Highland Games may register in advance for $30 link found below. The competition is open to both amateur and professional athletes.

The Games will also feature live demonstrations and a mini-coaching clinic on Friday, October 3, from 5:00–6:00 p.m. at Lazarre Park, offering newcomers the chance to learn from seasoned athletes.

In addition to the athletic competitions, festivalgoers can enjoy artisan vendors, Celtic music, children’s activities, and food and drink available on-site, making the event a full-day celebration of Celtic heritage along the scenic Ouachita River.
