Fair Housing Expo connects public with housing professionals

The City of Monroe has announced the 2025 Housing Fair and Expo, an event designed to provide residents with the resources and support they need for homeownership and housing opportunities. The event is May 31 will from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Abe Pierce Convention Center (401 Lea Joyner Expressway). The event is free, and everyone in the community is invited to participate.

The fair will offer a variety of educational workshops and a partner marketplace, bringing together a host of professionals in the housing field. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with bankers, realtors, developers, and other experts, while also learning about initiatives such as homebuyer assistance programs, down payment aid, grants for property owners, and much more.

The event is made possible through sponsorship by Centric Credit Union, along with the collaboration of partners including the NELA Realtor’s Association, Southside Economic Development District, Monroe Housing Authority, Cadence Bank, Origin Bank, Regions Bank, JP Morgan Chase Bank, First Horizon Bank, Citizens Progressive Bank, Ouachita Housing, United Way of Northeast Louisiana Bank-On Initiative, Midcity Redevelopment Alliance, and the Louisiana Housing Corporation.

As an added bonus, attendees can win incredible prizes, including a $1,000 voucher toward down payment assistance. Additional giveaways will also be offered throughout the event.
