'Ladies Night Out' works to teach more women about football fundamentals

Shelley Hamilton joins Cory Crowe for Lagniappe

'Ladies Night Out' with the Warhawk Women will be held July 21 at 6pm at the Malone Stadium Skybox. The event hopes to engage more women with football through education.

ULM Head Football Coach Terry Bowden will hold a Football 101 class and bring some assistant coaches to teach some fundamentals. Participants will also learn about the life of a college football player and Athletic Director John Hartwell will speak about the upcoming season.

ULM Director of Athletic Giving Shelley Hamilton says the event will be fun with gameday snacks and drinks, door prizes, silent auction, and the reveal of the new turf field at Malone Stadium.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
