Listening Tour Seeks Ideas To Improve Schools

Educators, parents, and community members are encouraged to attend a discussion to foster ideas on improving public schools.

The Monroe City Association of Educators hosts a listening tour that encourages interaction between parents and educators.  "Getting parents involved in the process is perhaps the biggest challenge," says MCAE President Nancy Farley.

Farley says the sessions, one this evening and another on April 28th, include ideas and suggestions on how the district can create the atmosphere of a 21st century school for every student. "We want all schools to have the opportunity to educate the children in science, technology, engineering, and math, to equip them for the future," she said.
