ULM students can also join Warhawk Women to learn about and support ULM Athletics.

Women can find out more about the in's and out's of basketball at the Warhawk Women event, Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. on the Fant-Ewing Coliseum floor.

Warhawk Women was formed from an idea Linda Bruno, wife of University of Louisiana Monroe President Nick Bruno, had after seeing similar groups at other universities. "It's a way for us not only to have the community join and learn more about ULM Athletics, but it's also a way for us to reach out to our student body of women," according to Leazel McDonald, wife of interim Athletics Director Scott McDonald.

Basketball 101 is focusing on different basketball moves. The event is led by the head basketball coaches Keith Richard and Jeff Dow. This event provides a chance to get to know the coaches and the game of basketball while also engaging in a wine tasting. Emily Dow says each basketball move is paired with a different wine.

According to Holly Richard, wife of Coach Keith Richard, anyone who is interested can join and volunteer with Warhawk Women. Tickets for Warhawk Women: Basketball 101 are available here.
