Tuesday July 18, the Walk to End Alzheimer's is holding a team recruitment party at 6:30 p.m. at Azalea Estates Assisted Living for people interested in helping with the walk in November.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held November 4. This organization raises awareness about Alzheimer's as well as funds to find a cure to this disease. Alzheimer's is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and an estimated 85,000 people are diagnosed with this disease in Louisiana alone.
The recruitment party will allow potential volunteers to learn more about Alzheimer's and how they can help through the Walk to End Alzheimer's. There will be refreshments served along with door prizes.
