Printmaking Workshop
Printmaking Workshop
The class will cover the basics of relief printing with linoleum and screen printing on paper to serve as an introduction to the various tools and inks used in each medium. The workshop will be three-hour sessions over two Saturday afternoons. The course is in conjunction with the John Hitchcock: Blanket Songs exhibition on display in the Museum. Participants should take note of Hitchcock’s use of the printing processes present in his work, working to create a multi-media work of art. The finished works will be displayed in the River Galleries for the artist to critique the afternoon before the Blanket Songs reception.
This printmaking workshop is comprised of 2 classes, lasting 3 hours per class, on January 13 & 20, 2024.
The cost of the class will cover all the materials provided by the museum, which students will keep. Beginners are welcome.
Space is limited.
