Louisiana Delta Ballet Presents Night of Family Fun

The Louisiana Delta Ballet Presents "Christmas in Neverland" on Friday, Dec. 18

The Louisiana Delta Ballet presents an evening that all families can enjoy, in a production called "Christmas in Neverland."

It's a ballet interpretation of the Peter Pan and Captain Hook story, featuring crocodiles and special effects.

"We are going to be flying Peter Pan and Tinkerbell all over the auditorium," says Jeanine Patton, vice president of the Louisiana Delta Ballet board of directors.

The LDB emphasizes the beauty of classical dance and Patton says it wants to continue bringing that experience to the Monroe area. Patton says the show is an attempt to take the audience "back to a time of innocence."

"It's a magical experience for the kids and it's going to be a fun evening for families to get together," says Patton.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Jack Howard Theater in the Monroe Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 18. Patton says the show is the LDB's kickoff event for the 2015-2016 season, but much more can be expected in the coming months.
