'Pirates' at ULM's Brown Auditorium October 29 & 30

A misunderstanding leads to a multitude of laughs and silliness in The Pirates of Penzance.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's School of Visual And Performing Arts presents the Gilbert & Sullivan classic this Thursday and Friday in Brown Auditorium.

"When nurse Ruth stays with the pirates and raises Frederick as a pirate's apprentice, she believes he is to become a pirate.  However, the pirates actually say a pilot, expecting him to steer their ship," says director Mark Clark.

Principal roles include Blake Oden as Frederick, Elizabeth Neuberger as Ruth, Sierra Etheridge as Mabel, Nathaniel Medlin as The Pirate King, and Gray Hall as the Major-General.

Performances at at 7:30 p.m. both nights.  Ticket information at the VAPA Box Office: 342-1414
