The Louisiana Department of Education announced that early bird registration is now open for Teacher Leader Summit 2026. Louisiana’s premier professional learning event for educators will take place May 26–28 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The Teacher Leader Summit is about bringing educators from across the state to improve their craft and prepare for the next school year. Teachers are welcome to share what is working and get inspired to make a real difference for Louisiana students.
The theme 2026 is, “Big Ideas Start Here,” reflecting the Summit’s continued focus on real classroom impact, educator collaboration, and meaningful growth. Over the course of three days, educators will participate in hundreds of sessions aligned to Louisiana’s education priorities.
“Louisiana educators are doing powerful work every day,” said Louisiana State Superintendent of Education Dr. Cade Brumley. “Teacher Leader Summit is our chance to lift up their success, spark their next steps, and provide them with the support they need to continue moving Louisiana forward.”
