Coolio died of an accidental fentanyl overdose, coroner's report shows
Coolio died on Sept. 28, 2022, at a friend's home in Los Angeles. The 59-year-old rapper's cause of death was unknown at the time.

Senate Renews Push for Iraq Withdrawal Deadlines
Senate debate on the Iraq war began in earnest Tuesday as Democrats called for troop withdrawals. Democratic leaders introduced an amendment ordering withdrawals by April 30, 2008. Sen. John McCain, just back from Iraq, gave a floor speech saying precipitous withdrawal would be a disaster.

Layoffs Push Jobless Rate To 8.1 Percent
The nation's unemployment rate is at its the highest level since 1983. The jobless rate for February stands at 8.1 percent after employers slashed 651,000 jobs. Both figures were worse than what analysts had expected. Since the recession began in December 2007, the economy has lost 4.4 million jobs.

Freddie, Fannie Rescue Could Cost $25 Billion
A federal rescue of troubled mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could cost taxpayers as much as $25 billion, the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday. But its director said there is a better than 50 percent chance the government will not have to step in to prop up the companies.
