Monroe Police Department investigate shooting at Shadow Hawk Apartments

The Monroe Police Department is looking into a shooting that occurred at Shadow Hawk Apartments located at 3000 Evangeline Street. The shooting occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. on April 11.

Upon arrival, officers found two victims inside the apartment suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to regional hospitals for treatment.

The initial investigation showed that the two victims were asleep when an unknown suspect(s) approached the apartment and fired several rounds at the building. Monroe Police Department detectives were called to the scene and are working on the investigation.
