Three Suspects Arrested in Armed Robbery Investigation

The investigation into a recent armed robbery and kidnapping of a motorist in Calhoun has led to the arrest of 3 suspects by Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Investigators. Upon approaching the intersection of Highways 546 and 151, the victim observed a person lying beside the roadway and stopped to render aid. Upon doing so, the victim recognized the person as someone he had previously met online.

The person produced a firearm and forced the victim to take him to another location where the victim was then robbed by three suspects. Lainey Jeanette Beaver, age 22 of Calhoun, Dequrries Deshawn Moss, age 23 of West Monroe, and a 16 year old juvenile have been arrested in connection with the incident. Beaver has been charged with 1 count of Aggravated Kidnapping, 1 count of Armed Robbery and 1 count Simple Possession of Marijuana.

Moss has been charged with 1 count of Aggravated Kidnapping, 1 count of Armed Robbery, 1 count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and 1 count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Both have been booked in OCC on the charges. The juvenile is currently being held in Green Oaks Detention Center charged with 1 count of Aggravated Kidnapping and 1 count of Armed Robbery.
