A sheriff's office in Louisiana says a 15-year-old boy has been fatally shot in what two other juveniles described as an accident.
The Advertiser reports the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office says Koby Lee Keever was shot in the abdomen Friday at a home in Ragley near Lake Charles. He was taken to a hospital and died from his wounds.
The sheriff's statement says the investigation continues. Witnesses told deputies that the gun fell off a gun rack, hit the floor and fired, striking the victim. It says Keever was with two other juveniles at the home at the time.
