Juvenille Strikes School Bus Driver In Face

A Ouachita Parish juvenile is suspected of striking his school bus driver in the face. Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the reported battery of a school employee while on a Ouachita Parish School bus in West Monroe.

The investigation indicates the juvenile suspect allegedly struck the school bus driver several times in the facial area, causing non-life threatening injuries but requiring the victim to seek hospitalization. The suspect, age 15, was located at his nearby residence and taken into custody.  He was booked in Green Oaks Detention Center on the charge of Simple Battery of a School Teacher.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time and the suspect’s name cannot be released due to his juvenile status.
