The Nevada County Depot Museum hosts a Cast-Iron Cooking class at Prairie D'Ane Battlefield Park on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. Join in for an opportunity to relive and savor the flavors of history.
This year's presenter is Sheila Ballard. This workshop's goal is to teach participants how to cook over an open flame like the pioneer days, using cast-iron Dutch ovens.
Participants will be taught how to prepare a full meal, including dessert, using historical recipes and techniques that reflect the culinary heritage of the region.
Tickets are limited and are $25 per person. Pre-registration is required.
