MORGAN CITY, La. — Viking Attachments LLC announced a $160,000 investment to expand domestic manufacturing and testing of its VMV Series vibratory pile drivers in St. Mary Parish, marking the company’s transition from pilot to full-scale operations.

The expansion is expected to create 14 new direct jobs while retaining two existing positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will also generate 24 indirect jobs, for a total of 38 potential job opportunities in the Bayou Region. Construction and facility upgrades are expected to be completed by March 2026.

Located at 146 Taylor Road in Morgan City, the facility will serve as Viking Attachments’ primary manufacturing and testing site, supporting welding, assembly, painting, testing, and spare-parts warehousing, as well as expanded inventory and a demonstration fleet.

“By building our pile drivers in Louisiana, we can create local jobs, improve service response, and continue a family legacy rooted in this community,” said James “Jim” Duhon, Founder and CEO of Viking Attachments.

Founded in 2019, Viking Attachments manufactures American-made pile drivers for marine and infrastructure construction projects. The company began pilot production of its VMV Series in 2025 and has already completed initial sales.

The project was supported by Louisiana Economic Development, including workforce solutions through LED FastStart, and reflects continued economic momentum in St. Mary Parish and the Bayou Region.
