Saturday, October 4th will have a two day festival "Rollercoaster of Love" mountain bike festival at Bogue Chitto Park. There will be an event named Hallow-Palloza that will be featuring hay rides, crafts, and games on Friday, October 10th at Lake D'Arbonne State park.
There will be parades and trick-or-treating at Fairview-Riverside State Park and Jimmie Davis State Park. It will also be an event for a self-guided hike at Lake Bistineau Park and learning about creepy critters at Tickfaw State Park.
“October is one of the most exciting times to explore Louisiana State Parks. From hayrides and trick-or-treating to spooky hikes and family festivals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy,” said Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser. “I encourage families and visitors to join us this Halloween season and make unforgettable memories in the great outdoors at our State Parks and Historic Sites.”
There is something fun to do every weekend for ghosts and goblins of all ages throughout the month of October. Be sure to make your way back to a Louisiana State Park for the weekend of October 25. On Saturday, October 25, kids can trick-or-treat at 17 different state parks.
