West Monroe to host student councils from across Louisiana

West Monroe, LA – The 72nd Annual Louisiana Association of Student Councils (LASC) State Convention will be held at West Monroe High School on January 14th – 16th.

This event is expected to bring an estimated economic impact of over $600,000 to Ouachita Parish.

The LASC State Convention is an event for high school leaders from across the state of Louisiana. During this convention students can hear inspirational speakers, learn from their peers, and networks with other young adult leaders.

“This event is unlike any other youth-oriented convention. We give so much to the delegates. They not only have an amazing time, but they also leave energized and ready to bring leadership skills back to their own schools,” said Krista Jones, West Monroe High School Student Council Advisor.
