The Monroe Chamber of Commerce opens applications for the 2027 Leadership Ouachita program.
The purpose of this program is to develop and empower the emerging leaders of northeast Louisiana to transform the region into a place recognized as one of the best places to live and do business. Leadership Ouachita provides insight on public decision- making, practical and in-depth discussions on public issues pertinent to Ouachita Parish, an expanded knowledge and understanding of the community in which we live, and the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with established leaders.
"Leadership Ouachita has been a transformative journey, bringing me closer to my community and connecting me with incredible people who inspire and support one another. Through this program, I’ve discovered a deeper sense of purpose, built lasting connections, and gained invaluable insights that have shaped not only my career but also my heart for service. It’s been more than an experience; it’s been a life-changing chapter filled with growth, gratitude, and a newfound dedication to making a difference in the lives around me," said Deputy Clerk, Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court, Leslie Lawson Caillouet.
Individuals may apply or nominate those they feel best exemplify the philosophy of Leadership Ouachita. Once accepted into the program, participants are expected to attend every session in order to benefit from all that the program offers. A complete application must include three letters of recommendation and a photo.
