Tingle was recognized during the STS Connections Conference in Richmond, Virginia. The Shooting Star Awards recognize tourism professionals whose leadership, talent, and contributions are making an impact across the Southeast tourism industry.
“Abby brings creativity, strategy, and a genuine love for our community to everything she does,” said Sheila Snow, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Discover Monroe-West Monroe.
“She is always looking for new ways to tell the Monroe-West Monroe story and connect people with our destination. I’m incredibly proud to see her work and leadership recognized by our tourism industry peers across the Southeast.”
Tingle has also been recognized as a member of Destinations International’s 30 Under 30 class and Southeast Tourism Society’s 40 for the Future, programs recognizing emerging leaders and rising talent within the travel and tourism industry.
“I’m incredibly honored to receive the STS Shooting Star Award,” Tingle said. “This industry has given me so many opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with people who inspire me, and I’m grateful to be part of a tourism community that continues to challenge and encourage me. I’m excited to keep growing and sharing the stories of the people and places that make our community special.”
Tingle originally joined Discover Monroe-West Monroe as Public Relations & Media Coordinator before serving as Content Manager for Visit Mobile in Mobile, Alabama. She returned to Discover Monroe-West Monroe in 2022 as Social Media & Website Manager.
