Brown Bag Concert Series 2026 kicks off with Clay LaBeff

Opening with a Clay LaBeff concert on October 7, 2026, the Brown Bag Concert Series returns again for the month of October with four different concerts.

October 7th's show will be from 12-1 p.m. at Palace Park in Downtown Monroe. It is free and open to everyone, with free drinks and cookies available, as well as $6 Brown Bag lunches from Newk's Eatery that will also be available.

The remaining concerts will also be at Palace Park, and each will also be free and available to everyone, with the drinks, cookies, and lunches also available at each.

October 14th will bring Southern Grace to the stage, followed by Josh Madden on October 21st and Tammy Martin on October 28th.

Georgia Street with the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council spoke in an interview with Cory Crowe on Lagniappe about the Brown Bag Concert Series.

"We started this years ago. We had a twofold purpose," said Georgia Street. "It was to provide entertainment, free entertainment for the community. And it was also to expose our wonderful, local talent to the community."

Guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating, or even your own packed lunch, and enjoy an hour of live music.

The Brown Bag Concert Series is presented by the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, a non-profit organization in West Monroe, Louisiana dedicated to nurturing a vibrant regional arts culture. The concert series occurs every Wednesday in October and April, so there is a lot of opportunity to see a show.

"The arts council really wants to support the arts in our area, because we all know how important art is to us," said Georgia Street. "Even if you don't think it's important to you, it is.
