BATON ROUGE, La. — The Secretary of State’s Office, through the Office of State Procurement, has issued an Invitation to Negotiate with eligible, state-certified vendors for a new, fully auditable statewide voting system with a paper ballot component, as allowed by La. R.S. 39:1600.2 and La. RS 18:1362.
As part of the process, the public will have an opportunity to view the testing of voting systems under consideration, in accordance with 18:1362.2, with dates to be released at a later time.
A final award announcement is expected by the end of the year.
