Museum to host Retro Mystery Dinner Fundraiser

The Nevada County Depot Museum is turning back the clock for its annual fundraiser, “A Totally 80s Murder,” a retro‑themed murder mystery dinner packed with neon colors, big laughs, and even bigger hair. Guests will step into character, hunt for clues, and compete for prizes including Biggest Hair and Best Detective, all while enjoying an 80s-inspired dinner and dessert.

Tickets are on sale now at TheDepotMuseum.org or by contacting the museum at TheDepotMuseum@gmail.com. Every ticket sold helps support the Depot Museum’s ongoing efforts to repair and restore Prescott’s historic 1912 Missouri Pacific Building, preserving a cornerstone of Nevada County history.

“We’re excited for this year’s mystery dinner,” said museum director Jamie Simmons. “The Depot Museum building needs repairs and restoration, so every penny earned from this dinner will go towards preserving this landmark.”

Tickets are just $55 each, or buy a 2-ticket package at a discount for just $100. This includes a catered dinner and dessert. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Buy your ticket today at TheDepotMuseum.org/events or email us at TheDepotMuseum@gmail.com. Get ready to tease that hair, grab your leg warmers, and solve a totally radical whodunit — all for a great cause.
