On Friday, September 25, 2026, free concert series Ouachita Live will be hosting the Joe Krown Trio with a plus one featuring Papa Mali for the season finale from 7-9 PM.
Ouachita Live is a downtown concert series that is held on the last Friday of the month, beginning in April and lasting through September. Food trucks and spirits will be on-site.
Also in conjunction with Ouachita Live will be Downtown West Monroe's third-annual pie baking contest, as well as a spirits and whiskey tasting that benefits the upcoming Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival on October 3, 2026.
During an interview with Cory Crowe on Lagniappe, Adrienne LaFrance-Wells, the Downtown West Monroe Director, spoke a bit about both September 25th's events as well as the upcoming Celtic Festival.
"We've had local musicians connect with these internationally touring artists and play with these artists as a result of Ouachita Live," said Adrienne LaFrance-Wells. "So we're really excited to continue the series."
The pie baking contest will be $10 per pie, and pies will begin being accepted at 4:30 PM, and the slices will be sold to the public.
The Spirits & Whiskey tasting will be presented by Choice Brands, and will be available from 6-8 PM. Tickets for the tasking are $25, and proceeds from this will benefit the upcoming Celtic Festival.
Seating will be available but not guaranteed, so guests are welcomed to bring their own seating to the event to ensure they have a comfortable seat to enjoy the show.
In honor of Dolly Parton Day, some of Dolly's music will be played at the event up until the show starts at 7 PM.
As always with Ouachita Live, the concerts are free for anyone that attends, but donations are accepted.
