On September 18, 2026, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a 15-year- old male on count of threats and terrorizing activity.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's office began investigating a concerning image posted to social media that depicted multiple individuals pointing handguns at a local school football jersey.
Deputies identified the juvenile as the one responsible for posting the image, he was taken into custody and arrested on one count of Terrorizing.
Investigators have found no evidence of an immediate threat to any local school or to its students, faculty or staff.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office takes all threats and potentially threatening activity involving local schools seriously. Upon becoming aware of the social media post, investigators responded promptly, identified the individual involved, and conducted a thorough investigation to determine whether the post represented a credible threat to the school or surrounding community.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office encourages parents, students, and members of the public to immediately report suspicious or threatening activity to law enforcement. The public is also asked not to share or repost threatening images or messages, as doing so can contribute to unnecessary concern and interfere with an active investigation
