Available from now until Midnight on September 25, 2026, the St. Francis Foundation will be holding a raffle where two winners get the chance to earn a brand new car.
The St. Francis Foundation has been hosting this raffle annually for 10 years, with this year being the 10th anniversary. Any money raised from this fundraiser will go to meet critical needs at St. Francis Medical Center.
In an interview with Cory Crowe on Lagniappe, Janie Milby, the Executive Director of the St. Francis Foundation at Monroe, spoke about the foundation as well as the fundraiser and the benefits of it.
"In the past, we've been able to raise money through the raffle to renovate our 46 year old, level three neonatal intensive care unit, which is the only one in the region," said Executive Director Janie Milby. "We've renovated our pediatric unit, our adult ICU, built a helipad; so things like that that really help improve access to care—life saving care for people in our region."
The drawing for the raffle will be on October 1st in the parking lot of the Ouachita Valley Federal Credit Union—the presenting sponsor. It will also be broadcasted live on TV at 6 p.m. on KNOE 8, as well as the Radio People station.
Raffle tickets are $50 each and are available for purchase at the hospital gift shop, the Community Health Center on Tower Drive, or at stfran.com/cars. Tickets have to be purchased before Midnight on September 25th.
"We are the fundraising arm of the hospital. So we work to raise funds to help shore that gab between traditional hospital revenue and funding and the needs that are there," said Janie Milby. "And St. Francis is a nonprofit hospital, not a lot of people know that, so there's great need there for any additional funds to make sure that we have cutting edge technology, equipment, all those services that are so important to the people in our area."
