Louisiana Delta Community College recorded a 2% increase in student credit hours for the Fall 2026 semester compared with the same point last year. The increase reflects strong growth in several areas, including Welding, Dual Enrollment, and Criminal Justice.

“This growth demonstrates that more students are choosing Louisiana Delta Community College to prepare for their educational and career goals,” said LDCC Chancellor Dr. Justin Hoggard. “We are especially encouraged to see growth in programs that respond directly to the needs of students, employers, and the communities we serve.”

In Spring 2026, 256 LDCC students participated in EdSights’ Student Voice Score survey. LDCC earned a Student Voice Score of 61—10 points higher than the average score of 51 among public two-year institutions and 31 points higher than the overall EdSights industry benchmark of 30.

Students are asked how likely they are to recommend their institution to a friend on a scale from zero to 10. Among the LDCC students who responded, 74% were classified as promoters, 14% as passive respondents and 13% as detractors.

Students identified LDCC’s sense of community and support, positive learning environment, smaller class sizes, accessible faculty and quality instruction as notable strengths.

“Our Student Voice Score affirms that students recognize the supportive environment our faculty and staff work diligently to provide,” Hoggard said.

“We will also use the feedback students shared to improve communication, advising, and the overall student experience. Listening to our students is essential to helping them succeed.”

The combined growth in student credit hours and strong student satisfaction results demonstrate LDCC’s continued progress in expanding access to education while providing students with a supportive and career-focused learning environment.
