The Delta Economic Research & Sustainability District (DERSD) partners with the Monroe Chamber of Commerce to bring the North Louisiana Sustainability Summit to Monroe on October 2–3, 2026. This event will be held at the University of Louisiana Monroe at The Hanger facility.
The conference will feature dynamic speakers, both local and from around the state, who will speak on sustaining rural communities for the next generation. The goal of the Delta Economic Research & Sustainability District is to improve economic development in northeast Louisiana through agricultural and sustainability research.
Stakeholders from 29 parishes in Central and North Louisiana will be invited to explore a sustainable future. With Meta in Richland and local universities and technical schools preparing for the future workforce, discussions will include topics such as solar, wind turbines, blue hydrogen, and more.
