The City of Monroe announces a temporary road closure on Washington St. at the intersection of Alabama St. due to construction. The closure is expected to begin Tuesday, August 25th, at 7:00 a.m. and will remain closed until further notice.
Pulley Construction, Inc. will be installing a force main and will cross the road just south of 203 Mississippi St. “Road Closed” signs will be stationed at the intersection of Mississippi St. and Pecan St. The city advises residents north of the force main crossing to utilize Pecan St. as their alternate route to safely access their homes during this construction.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling near the work zone to ensure safety. Be advised that driving around barricades is illegal. The City of Monroe appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation.
