The City of Monroe announces a temporary road closure on Washington St. at the intersection of Newcomb St. This closure is expected to begin Tuesday, August 25th, at 7:00 a.m., and reopen on Thursday, August 27th, if the weather permits.
The City of Monroe Street Department will be repairing the road at the bridge traveling southeast on Washington St. "Road Closed" signs and Barricades will be placed around the area. The City asks drivers to use caution when traveling near the work zone to ensure safety. Be advised that it is illegal to drive around barricades.
