MONROE, La., Aug. 13, 2026—Monroe will host the 2026 Send Relief Serve Tour, Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, as hundreds of volunteers converge on the metro area for dozens of service projects and outreach events to care for neighbors in need. Serve Tour Monroe is being held in partnership with local churches, area leaders and schools that have identified tangible needs within their communities.
Serve Tour provides community support and service through a multitude of specific projects. Some of the projects include neighborhood yard work and mowing; beautification projects at local schools; free laundromat service; back to school block parties; and neighborhood grill walks.
"Throughout Monroe and Northeast Louisiana, our local churches are committed to serving our neighbors in need and expressing Jesus' love for them in tangible ways,” said Serve Tour Monroe project manager Steve Kelley, associational mission strategist at the Northeast Louisiana Baptist Association. “We're excited about how Send Relief has come alongside us in communities in the Monroe area to multiply this impact through many Serve Tour projects."
In partnership with the Louisiana Baptist Convention and Northeast Louisiana Baptist Association, Serve Tour Monroe volunteers are being mobilized by Send Relief, a faith-based relief organization that works across the U.S. and around the world to meet needs and change lives through compassion ministry. Since 2022, Send Relief Serve Tour has provided community assistance to more than 116,000 people in 34 cities worldwide.
