Monroe resident, Tashira Glover, 42, was arrested on fraud-related charges after a joint investigation into a residential fire in Ouachita Parish.

The department's Office of Insurance Fraud collaborated with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, leading to her arrest.

Glover is accused of fraudulently obtaining insurance benefits from a homeowners claim after a house fire.

The SFM investigation revealed that Glover submitted a claim on January 13, 2026, for fire damage that allegedly occurred months before her insurance policy was active. She was taken into custody on July 21, 2026, and booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.

Glover faces charges of insurance fraud and theft over $5,000.

The Louisiana Department of Insurance encourages residents to report suspected insurance fraud by calling 1-800-259-5300.
