Monroe Regional Airport is set to host a TSA PreCheck® enrollment event in collaboration with IDEMIA, an authorized TSA PreCheck enrollment provider.

This event offers travelers the opportunity to enroll or renew their membership at the airport, 5400 Operations Road. The enrollment event will take place July 21-24, 2026, with sessions running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The TSA PreCheck Application Program is designed for U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents who want to expedite their airport security screening process. The enrollment process is efficient and becomes even more streamlined when applicants complete their application online prior to attending their in-person appointment.

During the in-person session, applicants are required to present identity and citizenship documents. Fingerprints and a photograph will be taken. The application fee for the TSA PreCheck is $76.75, and if approved, travelers will receive a five-year membership.

For a limited time, Monroe Regional Airport is offering a special family-friendly promotion: enroll with a family member and receive $15 off the enrollment fee. This promotion applies to families of all sizes—meaning a family of four can save $30 when everyone enrolls together.

Once the in-person enrollment appointment is complete, most applicants can expect to receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days. This number is essential as it must be added to flight reservations to enjoy TSA PreCheck benefits.

TSA PreCheck was introduced in October 2011 as an initiative to provide low-risk travelers with a more seamless experience through airport security. Enrolled members have access to dedicated TSA PreCheck screening lanes at over 200 participating U.S. airports nationwide. Impressively, 99% of members experience wait times of 10 minutes or less in these lanes. With TSA PreCheck, passengers can travel while keeping their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, while leaving laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, and food items in their bags.
