Monroe, LA - Mayor Friday Ellis has announced holiday closures for City of Monroe offices and facilities in observance of Independence Day.
City of Monroe offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. City offices and facilities will reopen on Monday, July 6.
Trash pickup normally scheduled for Friday, July 3 will be collected on Wednesday, July 1.
City Courts will also be closed to the public Friday, July 3, reopening Monday, July 6.
Monroe Transit will operate its regular schedule Friday, July 3, and will be closed Saturday, July 4. Service will resume Monday, July 6.
The Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo and Chennault Golf Course will be open to the public.
