Monroe, LA - Mayor Friday Ellis has announced holiday closures for City of Monroe offices and facilities in observance of Juneteenth.
City of Monroe offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026. City offices and facilities will reopen on Monday, June 22.
Trash pickup normally scheduled for Friday, June 19 will be collected on Wednesday, June 17.
City Courts will also be closed to the public Friday, June 19, reopening Monday, June 22.
Monroe Transit will be closed Friday, June 19 and will resume service Saturday, June 20.
The Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo and Chennault Golf Course will be open to the public.
