Monroe Symphony League Book Fair returns next two weekends

Each year the Monroe Symphony League hosts book fairs, where community members can buy books for as low at 25 cents.

The Fair is back June 6 and 7, and June 12 and 13. All proceeds from the book fair go directly to benefit the Monroe Symphony Orchestra and local community organizations, helping sustain performances, outreach, and educational programs.

Mark Henderson with the Monroe Symphony League joins Cory Crowe on Lagniappe.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
