Update 5/4/2026: Construction continues on this project.
Update 4/20/2026: I-20 on and off ramps will be temporarily closed nightly starting 4/23/2026, weather permitting. Only one off ramp and one on ramp will be closed at a time within the project limits between LA 34 and LA 594 on I-20.
Update 4/6/2026: Construction is now scheduled to start on 4/14/2026.
Update 4/1/2026: Construction is scheduled to start on 4/6/2026.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the I-20 Ouachita River Bridge and Approaches in Ouachita Parish, will be under construction beginning Monday, April 6, 2026, weather permitting.
This project will involve replacing pavement markings on the I-20 Ouachita River bridge.
The project is expected to be complete late 2026.
Single Lane Closures are allowed during the following times:
Sunday – Saturday 8 P.M. to 5 A.M.
Lane closures will continue nightly until the project is complete.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
