OPSO SCAT following firearms complaint and brief pursuit

(Ouachita Parish) – On March 29, 2026, at approximately 2:11 a.m., deputies with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of individuals brandishing firearms at Super Discount Liquor on Winnsboro Road.

While assisting patrol, the Special Crimes Apprehension Team (SCAT) observed a white Mercedes leaving the area and attempted a traffic stop following a violation. The vehicle fled, leading deputies on a brief pursuit before stopping. Four individuals were taken into custody.

A K9 alerted to narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search, deputies recovered two Glock 9mm handguns, including one equipped with an illegal “switch” converting it to a fully automatic weapon, along with suspected marijuana.

Arrested and booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center were:

· Andrial Baker: Flight from an officer; Possession of a machine gun, including pending charges tied to a RICO investigation involving alleged gang activity in Monroe.

· Simeon Jackson, III: Possession of a machine gun; Felon in possession of a firearm

· Jaron Green: Possession of a machine gun; Possession of Schedule I CDS; Resisting an officer

· Jacorian Neal: Possession of a machine gun; Distribution of Schedule I CDS (Warrant)

The investigation remains ongoing.
