The Future Entrepreneur Academy is a hands-on summer program designed to introduce high school students in grades 9-12 to entrepreneurship, innovation, and business leadership. The summer program is July 10 & 13-17 at 8:30 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. Through interactive workshops, guest speakers, and collaborative activities, students will explore how businesses are started, operated, and grown.
Students accepted into the Future Entrepreneur Academy receive a $1,000 program scholarship to the Academy, funded through community partners and Chamber supporters.
Students will learn how businesses actually operate and gain core leadership skills. They will learn how to develop a basic business model, understand customer and market demands, identify business opportunities, evaluate ideas, work as a team, and more.
At the end of the program, students will present their business concepts in a fast-paced pitch session inspired by the style of Shark Tank, showcasing what they have learned during the academy.
The Future Entrepreneur Academy will take place at The Commons - Ouachita Parish School Board Office at 1600 North 7th St., West Monroe, LA 71291
Students will meet in The Commons Building, located behind the Ouachita Parish School Board Offices on Slack Street (directly across from the Farmer’s Market)
