ULM Athletics

The University of Louisiana Monroe Athletics Department and the Sun Belt Conference announced its football schedule on Friday, March 13th.

The schedule features six home games to be played at Malone Stadium, including three Louisiana teams for the first time since 2002.

Four nonconference games will open the slate, beginning with two road trips, first to Mississippi State on September 5 as the Warhawks face the Bulldogs for the first time since 1997. Another road trip will come in the form of UAB on September 12 before ULM returns to Malone Stadium for its home opener.

The Warhawks will face Southeastern Louisiana to open the 2026 home season on September 19. To conclude nonconference play and the month of September, ULM will host former Sun Belt opponent FAU on September 26.

ULM will open league play on the road in 2026, traveling to face South Alabama on October 3. After a bye week in Week 6, Louisiana Tech will be making the trip to Malone Stadium for the first time as a Sun Belt opponent, as well as for the first time since 2000.

Another road trip will send the Warhawks to Troy in mid-October, facing the Trojans on October 24. On October 31, ULM will return home to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles to round out the month of October.

A trip to Jonesboro for a game against the Red Wolves (Nov. 7) will open the month of November, before a midweek game sends the Warhawks back home. ULM will take on the Ragin’ Cajuns on Thursday, November 12.

To conclude the regular season, ULM will travel east to take on App State on November 21, before hosting Marshall in the final regular season game of the year on November 28.

ULM’s schedule features seven teams that participated in a bowl in 2025 and five teams with winning records last season. The various bowls include the Duke’s Mayo Bowl (Mississippi State), Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl (Louisiana Tech), IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl (Troy), New Orleans Bowl (Southern Miss), XBOX Bowl (Arkansas State), 68 Ventures Bowl (Ragin’ Cajuns) and the JLab Birmingham Bowl (App State).
